OWNER / TATTOO EXPERT
Dex Xaviera
Andy and Dehvyathe Xaviera (shortly Dex) have been together since 2001. Tattoo Dex has been a well-known name in Rotterdam for over twenty years. In the late ’90s, Dex worked in her father’s tattoo shop on Pleinweg. At the same time, father and daughter were the first in the Netherlands to start laser tattoo removal, becoming the pioneers in this field. They were intensively guided and trained by plastic surgeon Dr. Etienne Lommen, who also used the Quanta System laser in the hospital. Later, Dex and Dr. Etienne Lommen gradually passed on all their knowledge and experience to Andy Han, closely supervising him in practice.
Dehvyathe Xaviera (shortly Dex)
In 2010, Dex decided to stop piercing and laser treatments to focus solely on her passion: designing and tattooing.

PLASTIC SURGEON
Etienne Lommen
Dr. Etienne Lommen, together with Dehvyathe Xaviera Han (shortly Dex), laid the foundation for laser tattoo removal in the 1990s when hardly anyone else was doing it. They were the pioneers of tattoo laser removal in the Netherlands. The unique combination of a dermatologist, plastic surgeon, and tattoo artist brings together all the essential aspects for expertly removing a tattoo: knowledge of the skin and its various types, expertise with laser techniques, understanding the development of tattoo ink pigments, and the technical skills of tattooing itself.
Over the years, much has changed in laser technology as well as in the range of tattoo inks. By working as a duo, they were able to coach, research, and explain why each tattoo may react differently during laser removal.
Dr. Etienne Lommen (1959) was trained in Groningen and earned his PhD on the subject of ‘artificial skin’, for which he also received a patent. He worked for 15 years at the Schoemacher Clinic in Scheveningen and participated several times in the program ‘Make me Beautiful’, winning first prize twice for the most successful cosmetic operation. For the past 12 years, he has worked at Bergman Clinics in The Hague (Bey Clinics).

Foundation
TA Tattoo Regret Foundation
There is no formal “tattoo removal training” provided, meaning even well-intentioned individuals do not get the opportunity to learn the fundamental principles needed to treat safely and responsibly. The Tattoo Regret Foundation therefore intends to share all the knowledge and experience gathered over the past 25 years.
The foundation’s goal is to ensure that the number of victims does not continue to rise and that well-meaning practitioners get the chance to acquire all the necessary knowledge and know-how, thereby completely eliminating the risk of causing serious injury.
